Dr. Tajuddeen Umar

Chairman

Dr. Tajuddeen Umar is a Petroleum Geologist with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has held technical and executive roles in both public and private sectors, including serving as Executive Chairman and Executive Director at the Nigeria-Sao Tome and Principe Joint Development Authority. He has been a board member of the NNPC since 2016, with reappointment in 2020, and currently serves on the board of Cape Mano Energy & Petroleum.

Ken Etete

Director

Ken Etete is the Group CEO of Century Group of Companies, a leading Nigerian industrial group. With over fifteen years of experience, including more than a decade in the oil and gas industry, he has a strong professional background. Ken holds a degree in Accounting and Business Studies from the University of Port Harcourt, an MBA in Oil and Gas from the CWC Institute, London, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School

Dr. Chidi Chukwueke

Director

Dr. Chidi Chukwueke, a geologist from Nekede, Imo State, Nigeria, holds advanced degrees in geology and geophysics. He started his career with Shell International Petroleum in 1991, specializing in basin modeling and deep offshore operations. He later held senior roles at Seven Energy and Salvic Petroleum. After retiring from Heritage Energy Operational and Services in 2020, he became the Executive Director at Shepherd Hill Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited

Ms. Telia J. Urey

Ms. Telia J. Urey is an accomplished entrepreneur and esteemed board member of Cape Mano Energy & Petroleum. With over 10 years of experience in leading and directing businesses in Africa, Ms. Urey brings a dynamic perspective to our organisation. Hadiza Garbati

Director

Hadiza Garbati has 17 years of experience in the oil, gas, and power sectors, across both private and public sectors. She holds a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Environmental Technology (Energy Policy) from Imperial College London. Her notable roles include Graduate Process Engineer at Foster Wheeler UK, drafting the Nigerian Gas Network Code, serving as a Commissioning Engineer on the EGINA FPSO in South Korea and at Indorama Fertilizer in Port Harcourt, and working on the 2019 draft Midstream Gas pipeline tariff methodology for Nigeria.

Ifeanyi Ajuluchukwu

Director

Before founding Montserrado, Ifeanyi Ajuluchukwu worked in Corporate and Investment Banking for over a decade, focusing on project finance in the Oil and Gas and Telecommunications sectors. He then served as an Executive Director at Century Group. Now, he is the CEO and a board member of Montserrado. Ifeanyi holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lagos and an M.Sc. in International Finance from Leeds University Business School.
